Art Journal Texture

I'm looking forward to giving a demonstrationand mini-workshop on art journaling forsome fellow artists this weekend. One of themsuggested creating a hand-out of doodles, drawings,and patterns that can be used along with collageas elements on art journal pages. Excellent idea!But...the possibilities are endless, so it was difficultto decide what to include. Many times my drawingsrepeat or echo elements found in the collage pieces,whether they are magazine clippings or painted orstamped images. Repetition is an element thatcan strengthen a composition, and hand-drawnpatterns create a texture that adds interest.
