I will marry in Egypt and nowhere else
It is time for wedding bells. Celina Jaitly will become Mrs Peter Haag on September 23 at a very private wedding and only the couple's family and close friends will be present.
The actress had planned not to get married before 2012. But now that the couple is sure of their feelings for one another, waiting seems futile.
The wedding will take place in Egypt despite the anti-government unrest in the country.
Incidentally, Jaitly is the country's tourism ambassador.
Only in Egypt
Says the shaken but confident bride-to-be, "I'm sure everything will be back to normal in Egypt by September.
Peter and I will take our marriage vows in Egypt and nowhere else. We had decided that when we decided to get married. That won't change."
The actress is in constant touch with the Egyptian authorities on the situation in the country.
She adds, "I'm very much in touch with Mr Khaled el Bakley the ambassador of Egypt to India, and Mr Adel el Masery, the director of Egyptian tourism.
They have ensured that every help is provided to Indian nationals stranded in Egypt.
I will visit Egypt as soon as it's possible for me to travel to the country. And yes, things better get to normal soon. Meri shaadi ka sawaal hai."
Share thoughts, prayers
She feels there is no cause for worry, "The situation always looks far more alarming from the outside than it actually is." Celina last visited Egypt last month.
" In fact, I spent an entire month there until Dec 15, 2010 for a shoot. Everything was perfectly normal and Egypt was as beautiful as ever.
I attended the Cairo Film Festival as jury for 12 days and shot for approximately a week for an ad campaign all over Cairo without a clue about any incident as such taking over Egypt.
I urge people to come forward and share their thoughts, prayers and feelings for Egypt and its people."
Celina has initiated a campaign for peace in Egypt on her official website. "It's called Pray For Egypt. Twitter followers are invited to offer their prayers for peace in the region, " she concludes serenely.

Celina Jaitley goes vampy this season
Celina Jaitley has already been much in news for her take lesbians. Now, she is all set to show some of her acting skills and also shock everyone with her entirely new negative look. In her next movie ‘Accident on Hill Road’ she’ll be playing a negative character and she reportedly took 15 days to decide on the right style for the character and chose a very vampy appearance. She also joined a 10 day acting workshop to brush up on her acting skills.
Celina has donned a new hairdo with much shorter hair in this thriller produced by Nari Hira of Magna Films. The new hairdo has changed Celina’s appearance so much that one takes a couple of seconds of closer look before one realizes the fact that it is indeed Celina on the frame.
“The new look has been created by Hakim Aalim. It was required to cut 10 inches of hair for the look. However, what he ended up doing was save locks of ten inches for me”, laughs Celina.
Directed by debutant Mahesh Nair, the film also stars Farooq Sheikh and Abhimanyu Shekhar Singh. The film shows how Farooq and Celina cross paths when Celina’s car hits Farooq in a freak road accident. What happens thereafter forms the crux of the film.

Celina Jaitley is happy that homosexuality is legalized
Celina Jaitley is one actress who has never been shy to express her feelings on homosexuality. She was the one who came out to launch the first official gay magazine in India and also had to face a lot of threats and abusive remarks for standing up for the gay community. Now that Article 377 has finally been nullified and homosexuality is legalized in India, she is definitely happy.
Here is what she had to say to express her feelings, “I have been receiving threats from radical and cultural groups. But I was simply standing for the fundamental right of a human being, so what if he or she is a homosexual. There are many people in the film industry who are from the sexual minority and they will now be able to come out in the open. Some of the people who have touched my lives were homosexuals. I owe a lot to them.”
That was Celina Jaitley on homosexuality. How many of you welcome this decision of the Government?
