Bollywood Actress Deepika Padukone has been chosen as the 'Tattoo Queen' by the organisers of the first Tattoo Convention in India. The 25-year-old star sports tattoos of her former boyfriend's initials and another one of an anklet. Recently she sports the ‘Dum Maro Dum’ tattoo on her waistline in the remixed song in the upcoming film Dum Maaro Dum. Deepika Padukone was busy in shooting for Desi Boyz', she could not attend the event, but forwarded the invitation to her Dum Maaro Dum team. Padukone and Mallya become official?

Deepika Padukone and Siddharth Mallya have been outed as a couple by England cricketer Kevin Pietersen.

The sports star tweeted yesterday that he had met the pair, who regularly attend cricket matches with each other.

He told followers: "Just had a lovely lunch with Sidhartha Mallya & his girlfriend Deepika Padukone. Thanks for picking up the bill Deepika.. NOT!! Haha."

Both Padukone and Mallya, the son of a billionaire Indian industrialist, have consistently denied rumours that they are dating despite being seen publicly together at most social events.

The Om Shanti Om actress broke up with her long-term boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor in 2009.

Lakme India Fashion Week 2010 saw the most beautiful of all beauties come to life when Deepika Padukone attired nothing less than an angel sashayed down the ramp on the day 4 of the fashion week, as the showstopper for designers Gauri and Nainika. Even the prettiest of angels looked down in jealousy as Deepika romanced with satin and frill in a vintage black-and-white gown in the hazy hues of the ramp.

The show also had Dia Mirza and Sameera Reddy sashay down the ramp. However, hot babes like Bipasha Basu, Katrina Kaif, Kajol and Genelia preferred the front rows rather than the spotlight of the ramp.

Love Aaj kal is a forthcoming Hindi film starring Saif Ali Khan and Deepika Padukone in lead roles with Rahul Khanna and Rishi Kapoor in supporting roles.

Is love today different from what it was in the past when lovers like Laila-Majnu or Romeo-Juliet perished in each other’s arms? Today, in the age of online romance and one-night stands, many would say love is just a whirlwind. But no! ‘Love Aaj Kal’ will have you believe that certain things don’t change with the passage of time.

The movie, directed by Imtiaz Ali , stars Saif Ali Khan and Deepika Padukone as lovers in different time periods.

LOVE AAJ: London, San Francisco, Delhi - 2009.
Jai and Meera are a modern-day couple in London. They are very happy together but do not believe in tying each other down. So when life pulls them in different directions, they decide to go with the flow. "These Heer-Ranjha, Romeo-Juliet type janam janam ka saath type couples exist only in story books," Jai says. In the real life, we have to be practical.

Veer Singh is struck by a thunderbolt when he sees Harleen for the first time. But as both stories unfold, we realize that the process of relationship might be different in different eras, but the experience of being in love remains the same. So there is the frolic and despair of modern living, the liberation and confusion. And there is the past - the times of innocence and compulsion. And there is distance, and the fondness that increases with distance. Gaps widen between two people, but bridges keep growing too.

‘Love Aaj Kal’ marks the birth of production house Illuminati Films, owned by Saif Ali Khan and partner Dinesh Vijan. Sunil Lilla is the co-producer.

The movie also stars Rishi Kapoor , Neetu Singh and Rahul Khanna in significant roles. There’s also a cameo by a British model named Florence.

‘Love Aaj Kal’ has music by Pritam and lyrics by Irshad Kamil.

The film is set to release on July 31.

Sizzling Deepika Padukone in item number once again

Not many have forgotten the spicy item number done by Deepika Padukone in SRK’s flick ‘Billu Barber’. The song was a rage and Deepika will now again be seen in an item number. Only this time it would be a Telugu flick.

The movie which will feature this item number is titled ‘Love 4 Ever’ and is being directed and produced by Jayant C. Paranji under Laughing Waters Entertainment banner. Set in the backdrop of a grape garden, the film is a love story though with a uniqueness and has Ranadeep and Mridula in the lead roles. ‘Love 4 Ever’ will be made in Telugu as well as Hindi.

Deepika Padukone raises Rs 1.3 crore for several charities

Bollywood Heroin Deepika Padukone ran the marathon in her city this year and raised an unprecedented Rs 1.3 crore for 80 different causes.

The Bengaluru marathon this year registered a 300 per cent increase over last year. This was all because the Om Shanti Om girl, who hails from the city, was part of the marathon.

Deepika was thrilled at an opportunity to promote a sporting culture and didn't charge a fee to endorse the marathon. The actress is happy that she could raise so much money for so many charities at one go, "There was a huge turnout and I am very glad that I associated myself with an event like this.

If my being there and giving an hour of my time makes such a huge difference I can't help but support it. I will always available for such events. I guess because I am from Bengaluru that it made a difference. The marathon was very well organised and sports will always be a priority for me."

Amongst the 80 causes that the marathon contributed to, was one that close to her heart, "One of my closest friends in Bengaluru was running at the marathon too. She had lost her father many years ago to haemophylia and today her mom has formed an NGO which offers free aid to under privileged haemophaelic patients including children." The actress supports that cause personally.
