Jessica Simpson Joins NBC's Fashion Reality Show

Jessica Simpson has signed up as mentor to aspiring designer contestants on NBC's new reality show 'Fashion Star.'

Elle McPherson will host the show.

The weekly series will follow 14 designers competing to win a multimillion-dollar contract to launch their own brand, and Jessica will play guide to them.

The 30-year-old entertainer established her credentials as a fashionista by successfully launching her fashion and lifestyle brand in 2007, titled Jessica Simpson Collection. The collection has 22 product categories including denims, sportswear, watches, shoes, bags and fragrances.

Jessica made bank with $750 million in retail sales in the year 2010 alone. She is expected to reach the $1 billion mark in 2011, according to WWD.

The show is produced by the original Project Runway producers - NBC executive Ben Silverman, and Dan Cutforth and Jane Lipsitz of Magical Elves. Heidi Klum hosted Project Runway series moved to Lifetime due to some legal issues that cropped up.

NBC is yet to announce the launch date for the show.

Jessica is expanding her fashion empire by collaborating with her sister Ashlee Simpson to add a new tween clothing line to the Jessica Simpson Collection.

Olivia was honored for her activisim and philanthropical work for Artists for Peace and Justice organization at the star studded sold out event.

She was the only actress among the honorees that included Scott Stuber, Richard Weitz and Dianna Thomas.

"Thank you @Jon_Favreau for presenting me with my butterfly award tonight at Chrysalis. Dude, we met L.L Cool J." she tweeted later in the evening.

Jon Favreau is the director of Olivia's upcoming film, Cowboys & Aliens, due in theaters on July 29.

Other Hollywood celebrities attending the event included Ashley Greene, Ben Affleck, Jennifer Garner, Molly Sims, Ryan Phillippe, Vince Vaughn and Jamie Lynn Sigler.

The forty-one-year-old mom of twins practically singed the entire red carpet of the pop concert in London's Wembley Arena, wearing an up-to-there reptile-printed long-sleeved dress with low-cut black top underneath. Makeup included smoky browns which set off the golden highlights in her hair, black eye pencil, and warm blusher and lip color.

Hair was left loose and unstyled, going with the wildness of her overall outfit. J.Lo topped it off with a pair of thigh-length snakeskin boots by Christian Louboutin which coordinated well with her dress while drawing attention to the Lopez legs.

The outfit could not have been a better pick for Jennifer, who performed for 75,000 ardent fans in the Arena. It showed that not only is the singer a music heavyweight but a style one as well.

Lopez landed in the UK a few days back in a private jet with her children Max and Emme. The American Idol judge graced the taping of the UK's So You Think You Can Dance finale and performed her single, "On The Floor."

Kim Kardashian has the perfect solution to a dilemma: How do you flaunt a 20.5 carat, $2 million engagement ring without risking its loss in a mishap?

A source tells Radar Online that Kim has commissioned a top jeweler to make her a 'decoy' of the engagement ring given to her by fiance Kris Humphries. The replica will feature a cubic zirconia instead of a diamond!

Cubic Zirconia, like diamond, is hard, optically flawless and usually colorless. It is hard to tell from a diamond by the untrained eye.

Kim will wear the real ring by Lorraine Schwartz only at special events and use the decoy for daily wear.

"Mind you, the decoy is still going to be pretty valuable! Kim has chosen a great jeweler who specializes in costume jewelry and he's going to make a fantastic replica," says the Radar Online source.

Kim is not letting reports of her cheating with NFL player Bret Lockett affect her in any way. She told People magazine that fiance Kris is keeping himself involved in everything involved with their upcoming wedding.

Emma Watson Clears the Air Over Leaving Brown

Emma Watson has denied reports that she was bullied during her time at Brown, saying she wouldn't have quit just because she was being given been a hard time.

Few people of Emma Watson's stature are blessed with both looks and brains, so when someone is, we take notice.

Emma, 21, who was studying European women's history and drama at Brown University, quit the Rhode Island Ivy League institution in March amidst reports that she was being bullied.

In April, Emma's spokeswoman clarified that the Harry Potter star had quit to pursue an academic course not offered at the school; she wasn't forced out of school because of bullying.

In a recent interview with UK's Sunday Time, the Emster confirms she didn't face bullying during her time at Brown and said almost everybody showed respect for her privacy. She stated that even after throwing a bash for some classmates, no pics were uploaded to Facebook.

The Brit beauty jokes about the stories, saying, "Anyway, even if I was being given a hard time, I wasn't going to wuss out of university because someone said 'Wingardium leviosa' to me in a corridor" or 'Ten points for Gryffindor.'" "'I've been dealing with the media since I was nine."

She furthermore informed if she couldn't tolerate a few individuals giving her attitude that it was "pathetic" because she's dealt with a lot worse.

Emma chalked it all up to being in the limelight and said, "I was trying to seek out normality, but I kind of have to accept who I am, the position I'm in, and what happened."

The 30-year-old, pregnant with her second child and currently in the third trimester, wore a custom gown in coral and mauve. The two tone look was inspired by designer's Spring 2011 collection.

Jennifer Aniston and presumed beau Justin Theroux stepped it up Sunday night, June 5 and were publicly seen together at Jason Sudeikis' MTV Movie Awards after-party.

The 'new couple' arrived together at the after-party and were, reportedly, inseparable all evening, according to People magazine's source.

The couple held hands occasionally, but stayed clear from any extra PDA. They were also seen happily posing together for photos with party host, Sudeikis, who is also Aniston's co-star in the movie Horrible Bosses.

Blake Lively retains her sense of humor despite being mired in a sexy photo scandal and will poke fun at her predicament during the MTV Movie Awards on Sunday, June 5.

The 23-year-old Gossip girl star, who is a presenter at the show, will return in time from her European tour with new beau Leonardo DiCaprio to attend the show.

"They're working on a moment in the show where she'd make fun of it [nude photo scandal]," a source told Celebuzz.com.

MTV has not yet given a statement on the latest addition to the show.

Blake's nude photo scandal erupted on Tuesday, May 31. A hacker posted several cell phone photos allegedly showing the Gossip Girl naked in full-frontal.

Blake's rep claimed the photos were 100% fake, prompting the hacker to post another similar set of photos as a challenge to the rep's assertion. The rep has also threatened to sue the websites who published the photos.

Blake and Leonardo, 36, were first spotted getting cozy during the Cannes Film Festival in middle of May and have spent a lot of time together since then in Europe. The couple is currently in Venice, Italy where they arrived by a private jet on June 1, a day after the nude photo scandal broke.

Celebrities have often used the MTV Award shows to make fun of themselves on messy situations that they get into. Last year Lindsay Lohan poked fun at her drinking problems in a skit at 2010 MTV Video Music Awards.

Lively will continue with her public appearances as planned. Her rep has confirmed that she will attend the three-day press conference for her superhero film "Green Lantern" in LA starting Monday.

Olivia Wilde Signs Up Bradley Cooper Headlining Thriller 'The Words'

Olivia Wilde has signed up for Brian Klugman and Lee Sternthal helmed/penned dramatic thriller, The Words, headlining Bradley Cooper.

The film will additionally star Jeremy Irons, Dennis Quaid, J.K. Simmons, Zoe Saldana, Ben Barnes and John Hannah.

Brian Klugman and Lee Sternthal were the script writers of Olivia headlining Tron: Legacy. They make their directorial debut with The Words.

The film focuses on Bradley who plays a successful author in the film but he must pay the price for stealing another man's work.

Olivia will not share screen time with Bradley in the film.

Michael Benaroya of Benaroya Pictures is producing along with Animus Films' Jim Young, and Serena Films' Tatiana Kelly.

Cinematographer Antonio Calvache (IN THE BEDROOM, LITTLE CHILDREN) is the Director of Photography.

Filming will begin this month in Montreal.

Wilde's film career is growing by leaps and bounds with five of her films in post production and one currently under production.

She is currently filming for Indie thriller Blackbird.

Five of her films awaiting releases include Jon Favreau-helmed "Cowboys & Aliens"; Weinstein Co. quirky political satire "Butter"; the physical comedy, "The Change-Up," helmed by David Dobkin; Andrew Niccol's futuristic sci-fi thriller "In Time" and the DreamWorks drama "Welcome to People."

Jessica Simpson And Ashlee Simpson To Create Tween Fashion Line

Ashlee Simpson has teamed up with sister Jessica Simpson to add a new tween clothing line to Jessica Simpson Collection.

This is the first time the two sisters are collaborating on a venture and they both plan to be the co-creative directors of the new collection.

The collection will focus primarily on daily wear specially denim and activewear, reports fashion magazine WWD.

The collection will include Knit tops, hoodies, pullovers, striped shrunken knits, graphic T-shirts, drawstring pants, footwear and outerwear.

Both sisters are upbeat about their collaboration.

"I'm excited to bring my sister, Ashlee, along as co-creative director of this division, because she brings a savvy rocker edge that defines today's tweens." Jessica told WWD.

"My goal as co-creative director will be to design clothes that will help inspire young girls to express their personalities and creativity through fashion," says Ashlee.

The clothing and footwear will be available in 400 stores across United States and Canada coming this fall.

Jessica Simpson Jeanswear and Jessica Simpson Sportswear distributors, The Jones Group, will once again collaborate with Jessica for this line.
